Our Clinical Director and Traditional Five Element Acupuncturist, Paul Adkins, provides a range of treatments at Positive Acupuncture.
Traditional acupuncture is an ancient Chinese treatment/medical technique that involves inserting and stimulating particular points on the skin with fine needles. As a Traditional Five Element Acupuncturist, Paul Adkins aims to balance health and prevent illness using this system of Chinese medicine.
Based on over 2500 years of use, many conditions may respond well to treatment – these might include: dental pain, nausea and vomiting, depression, allergies, stress, arthritis, rheumatism, asthma, bladder and kidney problems, insomnia, back pain, sciatica, knee pain, shoulder pain, neck pain, general pain relief, dizziness, depression, OCD, IBS, constipation, diarrhoea, tinnitus, sinusitis, stroke, facial paralysis, carpal tunnel syndrome, RSI, infertility, natural fertility, complementing IVF treatment, impotence, PMS, menopause, high blood pressure, addiction, hayfever, fatigue, weight loss, skin conditions, e.g. acne, psoriasis, eczema and problems such as headaches and migraines.
Some of Paul’s clients like to have acupuncture as a preventative measure, to strengthen their constitution or because they feel unwell in themselves.
