Solar Fortnight: Summer Solstice 21st June 2013 13:33
Our Ba Zi Consultant Stacey George takes a look at the prevailing Chinese astrological chart for the current fortnight.
Hour | Day | Month | Year |
Earth | Earth | Earth | Water |
Gay | Mow | Mow | Quai |
May | Ng | Ng | Jee |
Sheep | Horse | Horse | Snake |
Ha Gee, the Summer Solstice, is the peak of Yang energy in the year. It gives us all a chance to see how far we’ve come and determine how we are going to proceed in the months ahead.
We’re currently in an Earth Horse month, which will be a relief for many following on from a somewhat tricky Fire Snake month in May. The atmosphere is beginning to feel more supportive all round.
The word solstice, derived from Latin, literally means ‘standing still’ and with an abundance of the Earth Element in this fortnight’s chart, that’s something that we may need to avoid. There is also a great deal of strong Fire feeding the Earth, so it’s important to keep moving, perfecting your ideas and ways of working. This attention to detail could help you breakthrough barriers that have been holding you back thus far.
“Be not afraid of growing slowly, be afraid only of standing still.” Chinese Proverb
The Summer Solstice falls within a couple of days of a ‘super’ Full Moon on 23rd June, making it a great time to embrace change. Look to avenues that nourish your Mind, Body and Spirit to provide you with the optimum vitality to pursue your goals and transform your aspirations into reality.
